How do I set-up an account with Wavenation?
To create an account with Wavenation.com, select the products and services you’d like to purchase and proceed to the shopping cart. There you’ll be prompted to create an account and purchase your phones and other services. Please note that credit cards are required for all purchases.
Once authorization is complete, you’ll have full access to your Wavenation account, where you can check balance, top-up and in some cases, share balances—along with a host of other features.
If I use auto-renew, when will I be billed for the next month of service?
When you purchase a monthly plan, your next month of service will be billed on the original purchase day.
Ex. If you purchase Wavenation Wireless on the 20th of the month and have auto-renew enabled, you will be billed for the next month on the 20th of the following month.
How can I check my balances on my Wavenation services?
There are two ways for you to check balances on any of your Wavenation services:
- By logging into the Wavenation.com website
- By using the Wavenation Care App

How do I make a call with the Phone+Text App?
To make a call or send a text message with the Wavenation Phone+Text App, you must be connected to the internet via WiFi or cellular data. You can secure an internet connection by connecting to a public WiFi network or using the data connection provided by another wireless carrier on your device. Please note that the first time you use a particular WiFi connection, you may need to register and provide a password if required.
Cheap International Calls and Text:
For those folks who are frequent foreign travelers, the Wavenation Phone+Text App is both a reliable and economical way to stay connected to those of us back in the US. Simply download the Wavenation Phone+Text App to receive your US-based phone number. Then, when connected to the internet, you are able to make and receive phone calls as if you are physically in the US—regardless of whether you are actually in the US or traveling abroad.

How do I use Wavenation International Calling?
Calling Internationally via some of the lowest rates in the industry is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
- Set-up an account with Wavenation, and establish an account balance of at least $5.
- You’ll receive your personal “Local Access Number” via both email and text message.
- Use your Access Number to start making calls right away.

Wavenation Phone Numbers:
Each Wavenation account comes with a US phone number–either your existing number (if eligible for transfer) or a new one chosen specifically by you, including the area code and specific digit set as available. Unfortunately, not all numbers are eligible for transfer, so please be sure to check to see if your number is eligibility for transfer.
When requesting a new number, simply select the area code you’d like, along with the 7-digit number. If your first choice isn’t available, we’ll provide a host of other great alternatives.
Can I use my old phone number?
Yes, if your number is eligible for transfer, you can absolutely transfer your old number. Check number transfer eligibility.
Can I choose my own number?
Absolutely. During the account sign-up process, you can choose a US number, including area code and 7-digit number.
What is WiFi Service?
WiFi is a technology that uses very high frequency radio waves to transmit data … like voice conversations, text messages, movies or internet pages … wirelessly from your phone (or laptop or other wireless devices) to a network router. Routers collect your data and determine the best “route” for it to travel across the internet. It is a network of interconnected routers which collectively makes up the Internet.
You can access these routers—or WiFi Hotspots—in your home, your office or your local coffee shop. Often, use of a hotspot requires a user to “recognize the network” via their device and add the appropriate password for full access. To do so, simply visit the “settings” on your phone or wireless device and enter login information for the WiFi Hotspots you use most.
What is WiFi-First?
The Wavenation platform is designed to put WiFi first, meaning that your phone or app will seek out and use WiFi service as a primary connection to the internet. When a WiFi connection is not available, Wavenation simply transfers your call to a cellular data connection, seamlessly and transparently to you.
How Do I Use WiFi?
For each location that you spend time you will need to set up your phone to access that WiFi network, once you have set up that network it will remain as an available network. There are many public networks that don’t require any special password however you will still need to add that WiFi network.

We like happy customers at Wavenation and have built a service that makes many of them.
However, in the event that you are not so happy with your Wavenation service, we will refund both phones and plans purchases, although certain conditions do apply.
- For phone purchases made within the preceding 30-days, you may return the phone for a full refund (minus shipping).
- For plan purchases, refunds must be requested within one week or 7–days of account registration.
